Re: Update of the renewal process of the Lay Section of Regnum Christi
Dear Men in Christ:
I recently received some information on the Renewal Process of the Lay Members of Regnum Christi and some information on the upcoming Territorial Convention in October, which I would like to share with you. [Please see below for the links to this information]
The Renewal Process:
The Formal Renewal Process for the Lay Members of the Movement will begin in October of 2014. It will have 2 stages, the first step will be a period of Illumination beginning in October and lasting through December (longer if needed). The objective of this phase is to promote a process of reflection and deepening of the identity (vocation and mission) of the lay member of Regnum Christi.
The Illumination Process will prepare all members to be able to enter the second stage, the revision of the Statutes of the Lay Section (participation in the Illumination Process is a requirement to begin the revision of the Statutes). The Statute revision will take place Jan-Jun 2015.
Following the Renewal of the Lay Members Statutes, we will begin reflection on the aspects of Regnum Christi common to all the different branches which will include the Charism, mission, spirituality, nature of associations and membership.
In order to help us prepare ourselves for the Renewal process Regnum Christi has announced a Territorial Convention October 10 – 12, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia. This convention is an opportunity for all Legionaries, consecrated members and all lay men and women, especially those who are formators, leaders or future leaders in North American Regnum Christi localities to discuss the process.
I am attaching an outline of the Renewal Process and some information regarding the Territorial Convention. Please take some time to look at this material and try to be available to participate in the Renewal Process as much as possible.
I realize this is probably all new to you and that you may have some questions. If that is the case, please give me a call (330-607-6670)
